Hey gamers!

Here is another classic DOS game for the PC.

In 1988 GameTek published the first Press Your Luck game from developer Pedersen Systems Inc (PSI). They developed other games like Cyber Cop & Chutes and Ladders.

This is a very close version to the classic TV game show. There are six total avatars to choose from (their eyes are really creepy). After naming three the game will begin.

Just like in the show the players will go through a, question and answer round for points. After all the questions have been answered the game goes into the price board. Players will take their turn using what points they earned to grab prizes or get nailed by the dreaded Whammy.

I unfortunately hit two of the hideous creatures in the game.

The midi music is beyond horrible. I really can't believe we liked that stuff back then. It is just something that was forced upon us in games that we really got used to.

The graphics, for the time, weren't that bad. I thought the 1990 Price is Right game I played had worse graphics.

Game play was a lot of fun. Most of the trivia was still relevant, some would have been topical for that period of time. I grew up in 80's and I couldn't even answer the one about the CBS host.

I was, however, disappointed that they didn't have more than one animation for the Whammy.

I give it a 5 out of 10 because I found it fun to play.
