The Hantan River, which has a total length of 136 kilometers, originates in Pyonggang County, flows through Cheorwon to Yeoncheon, then joins the Imjin River and flows into the Han River. Hundreds of thousands of years ago, lava erupted and covered the Hantan River, and the view was created through erosion. From anywhere along the river, the river and the rocks are combined to create a landscape. Among them, the Hantan River Tourist Site, which was designated as a national tourist destination in 1977, is a section where the river circulates in a circle and is a representative tourist destination in the Seoul metropolitan area, which sits on a large sedimentary site. In the past, it was so popular that special transportation trains used to travel during the summer vacation season, and recently, more and more camping grounds with pleasant amenities are being loved.
