1 John 4: 7-21; “No one has ever seen God”
In the first of the Johannine epistles, we’re a century beyond post resurrection appearances and there is no one remaining who physically saw Jesus. So the only way to see God now is in those who love. Telling about God is good, but telling can be a lie. Loving is better because those who love abide in God and vice versa. Perfect love is best, for with God, there can be no fear in loving others, so second thoughts to love.
