10 Francs Bi-Metallic Coin 1989, France

This is 10 Francs Bi-Metallic coin of 1989 from France. This is a common coin and was demonetized in February 2005.

The coin is made of Bi-metallic Nickel center in Aluminium-bronze ring weighing 6.5 grams with 22.86 mm diameter, 2.1 mm thickness and 5 groups of reeds.

On the obverse, A representation of the Génie de la Liberté approximately translated as "The Spirit of Freedom", a sculpture located at the top of the "July Column" in Paris, is flanked with the letters R and F, the initials of the French Republic. The rim constitutes a striated geometrical pattern. Jean Luc Maréchal is the engraver of the coin.

At the reverse, The facial value, crossed out with wide stripes, is surrounded by the French motto "Liberté Égalité Fraternité" means liberty, equality, fraternity.
