Google Analytics has 4 key metrics that indicate possible IVT:

Average session duration
The average session duration is shown by clicking on the "Audience" tab and navigating to the "Overview" section. If it's close to zero, then it might be because you've received a lot of IVT.

Bounce rate
A high bounce rate does not always signal that site receives invalid traffic. Sometimes, users leave a page due to their lack of interest in the content. A bounce rate of over 100% can be a red flag that something suspicious is happening.

Traffic channels
Click on "All traffic" and then "channels." This will take you to the list of traffic sources that are sending bot traffic to your account instead of real users. You can see which of these sources are performing well and which ones are performing poorly.

Referral sources
You can easily track the traffic coming from your referral sources by clicking on the "All Traffic" tab and navigating to "Referrals." This will allow you to see where it's coming from.
