"Rural men and women and nomads: Efforts in manual harvesting of agricultural products tomatoes"

In this video, the roles and responsibilities of women and men in rural communities during the agricultural cycle are discussed. Looking at the traditional patterns of work in fields and gardens, we will see that rural women play a key role in many stages of crop production.

From planting and keeping plants to harvesting, processing and preserving products, women play a fundamental role in providing family livelihood and local economy by applying their local knowledge and traditional skills. In contrast, rural men play the main role in preparing the land, maintaining agricultural tools and machinery, as well as marketing and selling products.

In this video, this gender division of labor in rural areas is investigated in detail and it is shown how this balanced participation of women and men helps to maintain the traditional lifestyle and agriculture in rural areas.
