Today, we're taking a scary, old basement and turning it into a cozy, multi-purpose dream space! The inspo is moody, dark academia with those classic library vibes and we’re doing it on a budget. If we had bought everything new, it would’ve cost us close to $7,000—but we managed to pull it off for way less by thrifting and doing some DIY work. Follow along as we create this look with a renter-friendly fireplace, a luxe tassel stool, an antique desk, a built-in ladder bookshelf, and a comfy reading nook.
