SOLO sailing Auckland to Paihia leg 1, 7.2knots on average to Kawau in a 37FT Sloop.

Well well well. Welcome back team. Man, that was some sort of break, it's been so long since I put a video out last, but it's been a long-locked down winter here in New Zealand and i havent felt like editing... plus... At some point last summer Ren and I made some magic on Seahawk somewhere up north and now we have a new little crew member Greyson who has also been keeping us very busy. I'm sure you will meet him at some point in season two this year.

In this video, I head from Auckland to Kawau on the first leg of my Solo trip north to the Bay of Islands. I have a wicked time with the wind blasting 20-25 knots. I get from North head in Auckland to Kawau in 3.5hrs which is pretty fast for a 37ft sloop.

Stay tuned, hopefully, it won't take me 6 months to get part two out. Iv got some cool footage still from last year I am hoping to get it out before summer hits.
