Six days away from the 2024 NHL Draft and the NHL off-season is picking up steam, with the Winnipeg Jets joining the fray this week with their hiring of Assistant Coaches.

Of course the big news of the day was the status of Jets 2022 1st rounder Rutger McGroarty as there was a bit of a Saturday AM news bombshell from Elliotte Friedman on the 32 Thoughts Podcast which was released today indicating McGroarty’s name has come up in trade conversations. And to be clear he said “That the Jets have discussed trading and other teams have discussed acquiring McGroarty’s rights” which shows it isn’t simply teams calling about the top prospect.
