How to Get the Swipe Up Feature Without 10K Followers

Instagram Stories requires you to have 10,000 followers before you can use the swipe up feature.

The swipe up feature allows you to link your post to a website or YouTube video and send your followers there with a swipe up motion.

But what if you don't' have 10,000 followers. There is a workaround to get the swipe up feature, thanks to IGTV.

Step 1: Record a video with your phone that is at least 60 seconds. It won't work if it's less.
You can talk to the camera or record your screen.
This video needs to be a clear call to action. Tell your viewers that you want them to swipe up and then click the link on the video.
If you can't think of 60 seconds worth of content, just tell your viewers a little more about where the swipe up link is taking them.

Step 2: Upload that video to IGTV. Put a clear call to action in the title.

Step 3: Copy the link to the website or video you want to use as a swipe up link.

Step 4: Add that link to the IGTV description box.

Step 5: Share the IGTV link to your Instagram Story.

Step 6: Add Swipe up gif or text, so people know to swipe up if they don't have the sound on.
