The story begins in 1297, the Scots revolt
against the annexation of their country by the King of England
Edward I. Several battles ensued, including
Stirling, which is a strategic stronghold for
control movements between the north and the south of the
kingdom. The Scottish army, commanded by William
Wallace and Andrew de Moray, takes a stand on a
height dominating the river Farth facing an army
much more English. The English
engulf the first on the only narrow bridge of
Stirling and are massacred. After capture and death
by W. Wallace, Robert the Bruce is proclaimed King of Scotland
and succeeds in liberating the country...
