The SAD TRUTH About Film Photography- Everything you need to know

Описание к видео The SAD TRUTH About Film Photography- Everything you need to know

Film photography as an art form and hobby has had a comeback in the last few years, but what a lot of people don’t know, is that it isn’t vegan. Film and all photographic paper uses gelatin, which is a substance that comes from the boiled skin, bones, cartilage, and tendons of slaughtered animals. The light sensitive material is mixed with gelatin and then coated onto the film.

So far, no viable alternatives to gelatin have been discovered, and therefore film photography is not vegan. Additionally, there may be no way to get guaranteed vegan prints. The best alternative is digital photography, and for analog there are still a few options that are vegan. Did you know film wasn’t vegan? What is your favorite way to photograph?
