What are Adjectives
Adjectives are words that describes Noun.
Adjectives have three degree of comparison
1. Positive
2. Comparative
3. Superlative
These degrees are used when we need to compare things
Positive degree of adjective is used to describe, not compare
Comparative degree is used to compare two things and
Superlative degree is used to compare more than two things
He is a tall boy. Here tall is the adjective, and we are just describing "he", we are not comparing "he"with anyone.
So, it’s a positive degree.

Now lets another example,
David is taller than Sam. Here, taller is an adjective and we are comparing two person’s height. i.e, David's height with Sam's.
So, it’s a comparative degree
David is the tallest among all. Here, tallest is an adjective and we are comparing more than two persons' height.

So, it’s a superlative degree.
