Mars Records was originally called "DEJAVU RECORDS" and was located downstairs from LABYRINTH which is now a DOLLAR STORE next to BURGER KING.

As soon as you walked in the store's 2 floors, there was piles of junk everywhere. Tons of records, at least over 10,000 thousands of Comic Books and a shitload of porn reading material to satisfy any curious BOY !

There was no order, just piles of everything. You would have to physically climb a pile of records to get to another part of the store. It was always interesting digging there because you never knew what the hell you'd find. It had everything... quite literally. Soul, funk, jazz, rock, hip-hop, reggae, world.

You were pretty much guaranteed to find something.

Once you've decided what to purchase, then came the most difficult part, dealing with the Owner TOM on a price. It was time to negotiate, just like "THE LIQUIDATOR" at the biggest liquidation store in Vancouver (Jeff Schwarz) LUV IT !!

The pricing was based on the Rarity of the product, regardless if it was a Vinyl Record, comic book, porn mags and so forth.
