The Pantheon in Rome is among the most famous monuments of the Roman Empire.

The name of the square derives from the famous circular monument that characterizes it, the Pantheon, the best preserved of all the monuments of ancient Rome.

In the center of the piazza is a fountain, the Fontana del Pantheon, surmounted by an Egyptian obelisk. The fountain was constructed by Giacomo della Porta.
