Alarich and the visigoths invaded the hellenic peninsula.Through Thrace and Macedonia to Thessaly and through the hot gates to Attica and peloponnese arian christians visigoths and heretic priests that acompanied them looted and destroyed pagan temples and whole cities.They led a lot of people in slavery,monuments and statues were destroyed, the eleusinian mysteries silenced and arts and virtues were disputed.Many people forced to accept christianity as the only true religion but some others defied the axe and the fire and remained loyal to their forefathers beliefs.This song is dedicated to them
