If War Thunder's T-62 was historically accurate (Redux)

The Soviet T-62 was developed as a stopgap measure while tanks like the T-64 were being created. The T-62's development created some division in the Soviet's high command, with the gun being a particular point of contention. When it was discovered that the M60 would have a 105mm main gun, it was demanded that the 115mm gun be used, as it was bigger. The smoothbore 115mm gun was revolutionary in its own right, being the first gun to fire APFSDS in service.
