THE RESURRECTION

Written promises in the water
waltz the notes of cherubs singing
Words that tell me of surprises
And roses chanting in the evening

Path of old in bliss and winds
as they dance once more for me
Leading to the anthem wise
of roses chanting by the stream

Petals on his world descending
crown his stars with light anew
dancing colors on Him falling
of roses chanting in his view

Pearls of light the petals forming
for the eyes which they make see
Prism of gems waking the meadow
of roses chanting just for me

Meadow weeping ere they lay
dimmed ashore the life still
Angels veiling on their way
and roses chanting to renew

Heaven chimed a sound divine
as He rose there in the morning
In his hands was sealed the sign
for roses chanting in his glory
