City VS Yaris 2020 - DRAG RACE!

Honda City 1.3 Prosmatec AT (L13A/ 98Bhp/128Nm)

As one might expect the launch on the Honda's Conventional Prosmatec system was incredibly competitive. CVT's tend to have a delay at launch but once rolled to high rpms they are able to stay on peak horsepower. City has slightly more torque than Yaris which lets it take the lead in the start but to our surprise stays ahead till - as we tested - 165Km/h. In the rolling race Yaris absolutely eats the City using its modern and consistent revving CVT with no time lost in shifting delays and takes the win in rolling races from all speeds. Both cars were incredibly competitive.

FUEL AVERAGE - After performance these cars are obviously in the economical segment, and in which the Yaris using its CVT gearbox and Eco Engine has far better average points than the Automatic City, Yaris scores around 12-15 in city and 14-16 on highways whereas the City in city gets around 10-12 and on highways 13-15.
