What’s happening in this Children of Men movie clip?
Inside the camp, Theo (Clive Owen from Close My Eyes and Closer) and Kee (Clare-Hope Ashitey) are in a room where Kee begins to give birth. Theo helps her through the process and a baby girl is born. The next day, Syd (Peter Mullan from My Name is Joe) informs Theo and Kee that war has broken out between the British military and the refugees, led by the Fishes.

What’s the Children of Men movie about?
Men, in 2027, have exhausted all the resources of the planet. The last birth was nearly twenty years ago, and despair has generated a climate of violence, anarchism and exacerbated nihilism throughout the world. Britain is the only country to have avoided this descent into hell, by creating a totalitarian regime. Having become the ultimate hope of a disoriented humanity, it attracts thousands of refugees, captured as soon as they arrive, parked in vast regrouping camps and ruthlessly thrown back into the sea. For Theo (Clive Owen from Close My Eyes and Closer), none of this really matters, because the activist he used to be has become a bureaucrat and seems resigned to living from day to day, without worrying about a definitively blocked future. His only pleasure is now to visit his old friend Jasper (Michael Caine from Educating and Little Voice), and to evoke with him their glorious fights. It is then that Theo is kidnapped on the orders of his former companion, Julian (Julianne Moore from Boogie Nights and The Hours), leader of an underground cell that fights for the rights of refugees. Julian asks Theo to get papers for a young woman from the organization, Kee (Clare-Hope Ashitey), and to make sure she leaves the territory safely with a small group of comrades. Theo accepts, in memory of their love, and for a handsome sum. During this perilous journey to the coast, Theo discovers the real reason for this mission: Kee is no ordinary refugee. Eight months pregnant, she is the last hope of the human race, the miracle that everyone has been waiting for for twenty years. And, in each camp, men are ready to do anything to seize her and her future child.
