Barnacle Geese - A Winter Spectacle

Описание к видео Barnacle Geese - A Winter Spectacle

Barnacle geese fly thousands of miles each year from Svalbard to Britain and Ireland. This mass migration takes place each winter and one of the best places to see them is WWT Caerlaverock.

Early each morning the geese fly from the roosts to their feeding sites. Thousands of geese take to the skies and fly over head. The air is filled with their 'barking' and 'yapping' sounds. It's a truly glorious site. I urge everyone to get up to Caerlaverock to witness this spectacle, it's one you'll never forget!

This film was taken at WWT Caerlaverock in Jan 2015.
