We spent around 3 hours with Resident Evil Requiem, and the experience was far more intense than expected.

In this hands-on preview, we played as both Leon and Grace, each offering very different gameplay styles within the same location. Leon delivers fast-paced, action-heavy combat inspired by RE4 and RE6, while Grace leans into classic survival horror with stealth, puzzle-solving, and limited resources, similar to RE2 and RE7.

The preview takes place inside the Rhodes Hill Chronic Care Center, where smarter zombie behaviours, environmental interaction, and shared progression between characters create constant tension. From brutal chainsaw encounters and parry mechanics to detective-style puzzles and stealth-focused gameplay, Resident Evil Requiem feels like a blend of old and new ideas done right.
