How to play the "Train" game:
Formation: Children line up in a row and hold onto the shoulders of the child in front (or hold a shared rope). The first child is the locomotive (maybe with Tiffy as the driver!).
Movement & singing: The train moves around the room while singing:
“The train goes chugga chugga through the hills and plains.
Whistling in the tunnel – Toot-tu-ru-tu-toot!
Stopping at the station – [Your child’s name] is getting off.
Thank you for the ride – the train is really tough!”
Stop: When the song names a child, that child steps off the train and waits. The train keeps going until everyone has had a turn.
Extra fun: Speed up the song so the train has to go faster and faster – almost running!

This game trains spatial awareness, cooperation, listening to names, and lots of giggles. Great for group play, circle time, or family fun!

Sing along, make chugga chugga sounds, whistle in the tunnel, and wave goodbye at the station!
