Thank you to all at the beautiful Inanitah Community in Nicaragua for inspiring this video. I wrote this song 'Window To Freedom' (lyrics below) during my travels in Central America and made the video on the plane home, throwing together clips i made on my phone at Inanitah during my last week away, with a ropey Zoom recording (taken inside their beautiful cob temple - where the wind still blows in!). I feel so grateful for all that i learned and experienced, so many inner journeys (not all easy!). Now enjoying landing home in fresh England. I'm realising there is no 'right place to be' or 'right decision' - everything is simply an opportunity to be present, feel it all and be human!
Inanitah is such an amazing place to visit or volunteer at check them out www.inanitah.com

Window To Freedom

Come take from me the broken pieces
Of this treasure map that I have been carrying
And remind me that this search for home is over
Weary is this traveller, my feet and my eyes cannot seek any longer
Remind me that this search for love is over
Come take from me the broken pieces of
This compass that keeps turning me round in circles
And remind me that this search for peace is over
With compassion for this traveller
For she knows not what she is looking for
Remind her that this search for freedom is over

Freedom isn’t coming tomorrow
The window to freedom is now
Freedom isn’t waiting for you to become somebody
The window to freedom is now

When under my words and behind my actions
I am seeking for love or needing validation
Please remind me that this search for home is over
May my actions spring from stillness within
Clear sight, sharp arrow, conscious motivation
That reminds me that this search for love is over
With each new day I can choose to be
With my hands in the earth and my mind in my feet
I remember that this search for peace is over
Oh simplicity your ways are teaching me
With my roots growing down in this moment I am free
Oh remind me that this search for freedom is over

Freedom isn’t coming tomorrow
The window to freedom is now
Freedom isn’t waiting for you to become somebody
The window to freedom is now
