This webinar brought together a panel of speakers for a stimulating debate on the big issues facing businesses. Led by an expert panel comprised of three academics teaching on the Global Trade and Business BA, the webinar focuses on themes including the changing financial landscape facing businesses and the extent to which FinTech has improved financial inclusion, international trade, and the impact of Brexit and COVID -19. The debate also considered the cause of problems with supply chains and how businesses can build resilience to withstand shocks.

Hosted by Westminster Business School, the webinar was broadcast live via Zoom Webinar on Wednesday 8 December 2021.

Speakers

Panel line-up:
• Dr Helen Solomon – Current research focuses on the bank lending channel in developing countries and recently received funding from the British Academy.
• Dr Karen Jackson - International trade policy expert who recently provided evidence to the UK Parliament International Trade Committee's inquiry into UK trade negotiations.
• Dr Epaminondas Koronis - Previously worked for many years at Deloitte and as an executive and non-executive director in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Joseph Coote-Cowling - Moderator

The format saw each speaker give a brief presentation after which the moderator opened the floor to questions from the live audience.
