Discover the Perfect Left Hand Bass line & Simple Melody on a Blues in Bb for Hammond Organ

As most of you know my playing is heavily inspired by Jimmy Mcgriff (an of course Jimmy Smith and all the other greats). One of the many reasons I like him so much is because is his timing. His sound is always amazing, He can repeat phrases without ever becoming boring and the way he times and phrases really speaks to me.

Today I was listening to one of his albums ("live at the club" or " Where The Action's At!", same recordings , different album title, both hard to find on streaming platforms. I have it on LP.

I love how he uses the 6 a lot in the blues (in his melodies in conjunction with the 3 usually). I decided to make a shot video about one of the ways he used to do that.
