We head to learn more about Fly-Fishing. The Illinois River Fly Fishing School is an annual happening that I highly recommend for any level of fly fisher (beginning to expert). It is held in February at the Tenkiller Lake State Park. The state park reservations we made exceeded my expectations and I hope to visit it in the spring with my family so they can play at the pool, on the playground, and we can make awesome memories. There was a meal plan that came with the course; hosted at "Big Daddy's Restaurant" located at the entrance of the State Park. The restaurant has recently been bought by a family and is now family owned and operated, and wow they can cook. I suggest the catfish with the corn hushpuppies and side of beans with a warm brownie and ice-cream for dessert! I am drooling just thinking about it. They will even loan you the gear to do the class so you don't have to make a financial commitment to a hobby you may not like. The class ran Friday evening to Saturday evening, and Sunday you could fish on your own.
