Fastest Car Day 1 & Fastest Car Day 2. The

This is a lap from Saturday with James Cope in the passenger seat. He's been in the #pinderwagen on circuit before and was driving his own MK2 on the event.
This was my 3rd lap of the day, still getting to grips with the circuit and what gear to use. This was the first lap I tried 1st gear and it seemed to be better, I dropped to 1st every lap after this.
The video doesn`t show how wet it was on the day, as I`m sure everyone who was driving will agree.

The second lap is from Sunday which was much drier.
I was taking passengers out all afternoon after getting in some dry solo runs in the morning, this is my favourite with Ian Mcmullen grinning the entire lap ! 😀
The whole event was about meeting other MK2 owners and it more than lived up to my expectations. Being able to take them out for laps and see their reaction is the part I particulary enjoyed.

As you can see from the video, my car is not setup for this type of circuit, the gearing is far too tall as it was chosen for the Nurburgring and that meant I needed 1st gear 3 times during the lap just to keep it on boost.

I was delighted to come away with the fastest laps on both days of the event, winning the MK2 Track car class on Saturday and the Outright winner on Sunday and being presented with the Maurice Reeves Trohpy.
