Описание к видео How Does A COPY MACHINE Work

Photocopiers, also known as copy machines, work by using a combination of light, electricity, and static electricity to reproduce documents. Here's a simplified explanation of how they work:

Scanning: When you place a document on the glass surface or in the document feeder of a photocopier and press the copy button, the machine scans the document using a bright light.

Optical System: The bright light illuminates the document, and the reflective areas (white parts) and non-reflective areas (dark parts) create an image.

Image Formation: The reflected light from the document is captured by a series of lenses and mirrors, which focus the image onto a photosensitive drum or belt inside the machine.

Charging: The surface of the photosensitive drum or belt is uniformly charged with static electricity by a charging corona wire or roller.

Exposure: As the focused light from the document hits the charged surface of the drum or belt, the areas exposed to light lose their charge, leaving behind an electrostatic image of the original document.

Development: The electrostatic image on the drum or belt attracts toner particles, which are tiny black or colored powder particles with an opposite electrical charge. The toner is transferred from a toner cartridge onto the drum or belt, adhering to the areas with the electrostatic image.

Transfer: A sheet of paper is fed from the paper tray into the machine. The toner on the drum or belt is transferred onto the paper by applying a stronger electric charge to the back of the paper.

Fusing: The toner particles on the paper are melted and fused to the paper fibers by passing the paper through a pair of heated rollers, called the fuser unit.

Output: The completed copy emerges from the photocopier's output tray, ready for use.

Cleaning: Any residual toner remaining on the drum or belt is removed by a cleaning blade or roller, and the surface is discharged of any remaining electrical charge to prepare for the next copy cycle.

That's the basic process of how a photocopier works. It's a combination of optics, electricity, and chemistry to reproduce documents quickly and accurately.
