What Is the Softest Colored Pencil? 43 Different Pencils Tested!

What are the softest colored pencils? I recently test over 40 different pencils to find out! It was a lot of work but a lot of fun. And spoiler alert...the pencil I thought would win did!

I love a soft colored pencil because it's easier on my hands–helping me color longer. But softness is only one factor of many that go into choosing a great pencil. This video focuses exclusively on softness–which means that some brands like the Caran D'Ache Luminance were towards the bottom of the list. It doesn't mean that they're a bad pencil–quite the opposite. It simply means that they aren't very soft.
