TINY and ISOLATED village in ICELAND

Описание к видео TINY and ISOLATED village in ICELAND

A walking tour in Borgarfjörður eystri, a fjord in east Iceland. It is part of the municipality of Borgarfjarðarhreppur . The main settlement is Bakkagerði. With a total of around 100 inhabitants, the area, nonetheless, has plenty to offer, including some of the most populated elfin settlements in Iceland and a tremendous variety of hiking routes. In addition, the marina has by far the best access to puffins in Iceland, where you can observe the birds from a distance of two meters. The town derives its name from the Álfaborg (Elf Rock). Some of the locals believe that the queen of the elves lives in the Álfaborg.
