We went summer fishing below a large dam in the countryside, hoping the rising water after recent rains might bring something big.
The day before, my friend had fished there and spotted a giant fish moving deep in the current…
I set up five rods with homemade bait, waited patiently — and finally caught a beautiful red carp.
It wasn’t the monster we were hoping for, but it was a rare and peaceful fish. So, I released it back into the wild.
But just when things were getting interesting, some local villagers arrived and started casting nets right where I was fishing.
At that point, I had no choice but to pack up and leave — maybe I’ll come back another day to try again.
