this came to me in a dream- specifically i needed the visual of mikage turning around in his chair all serious while "IM NOT A PSYCHIATRIST" plays in the background... and it kinda spiraled from there. of course, mindless self indulgence being mindless self indulgence, the song has a depressing ass ending, which just does not jive with my own personal reading of utena as a story about hope, breaking cycles, etc... so just to be clear, the only thing getting worse here is a life which accepts patriarchal systems of oppression... and you know what they say... you have no choice but to revolutionize the world
