Rafting in Tamor River - a thrilling adventure in East Nepal

Trishuli or Bhotekoshi is what comes to mind of most when asked about rafting in Nepal. But, there are plenty other options which are more if not equally more fun and adventurous as these two.
One such lesser known rafting destination is the Tamor River Rafting. With more than 40 rapids (upto class IV), this was a full day filled with ulimate fun and adventure.

Tamor (Tambar Khola) begins from Kanchenjunga, and joins with Arun and SunKoshi to form the giant Saptakoshi. The volume of water increases massively as we reach Tribeni, the rapids get smaller but the waves are much more stronger.
