Prime Minister of Thailand Paetongtarn Shinawatra will visit Malaysia on 16 December 2024, marking her first official trip since taking office in August 2024. The visit at the invitation of Malaysian Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, will feature an official welcoming ceremony at the Perdana Putra Complex in Putrajaya. The leaders are set to hold a bilateral meeting and co-chair the 7th Malaysia-Thailand Annual Consultation, focusing on strengthening ties, enhancing trade cooperation, and addressing border management challenges.

A Joint Press Statement will be issued following the consultation. Key topics on the agenda include improving border security, advancing economic initiatives, and exploring transportation and logistics enhancements, such as constructing a second friendship bridge over the Sungai Kolok River to promote tourism and trade.
