Join the Tipsy Team as we tackle Lilly Lake Trail in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains in Southern Colorado (20 minutes west from Gardner, Colorado and 45 minutes southwest of Westcliffe, Colorado). After a tough hike to the high alpine lake, Ranger Dave rewards himself with a duo of summer beers. We have Tangerine Cream from Station 26 Brewing out of Denver, Colorado and Lemon Shandy from Eddyline Brewing out of Buena Vista, Colorado. Despite trudging through some snow banks, we manage to live life long, loose, and full of juice!

Notes: Great camping within first mile from upper trailhead with many water sources. Lake is stocked with trout and has fantastic views. Great car camping opportunities on dirt road before upper trailhead, some with restrooms on Huerfano River. Be aware, private land is within this area, but is well marked. While AllTrails says hike is 12.9 miles long, you can shave off a decent amount of early road hiking if you have a capable 4x4 vehicle and can get to the upper trailhead.
