Hungary's KF41 Lynx: Infantry Power Upgrade

As a new generation of armoured fighting vehicles, integrated with advanced firepower as well as high mobility allows KF41 Lynx to effectively deal with threats on the battlefield.

In 2020, Hungary became the first member of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization to order the German KF41 infantry fighting vehicle, under a 2 billion euro deal.

The first serial Hungarian KF41 Lynx is equipped with active protection systems from Rheinmetall. Moreover, the infantry fighting vehicle turret is equipped with ROSY rapid obscurant systems which have laser radiation detection sensors.

The KF41 was unveiled publicly at the Eurosatory defence exhibition on 12 June 2018. According to Rheinmetall, the Lynx family of tracked armoured vehicles is at the forefront of a new trend in IFV design toward armoured vehicles with lower unit and through-life costs and reduced complexity.

The IFV KF41 Lynx will greatly reinforce and bring the Hungarian military into the 21st century.
