Clipping a silver dapple horse is always a surprise! Princess the Mini Horse is a silver dapple American Miniature Horse and when she gets a haircut, the color transformation is amazing! If you have never seen a hairy horse get body clipped, you may find it oddly satisfying and relaxing. I am not shaving her bald, so please don’t worry that what I am doing is abuse or harming her in any way. I’m only trimming the hair shorter, because we live in Florida where it’s gets really hot (sometimes 100 degrees!) so body clipping the horses coats helps keep them cool. Much like a man getting a haircut or a dog getting groomed, it’s completely safe and healthy if your horse lives where it’s warm like Florida! I think Princess likes getting her hair cut, she is always very still and patient. The poor pony really needed this makeover and I hope you enjoy seeing the before and after!
