Pango (1983) for DOS: Kind of a full play-through, with amber monitor emulation

Описание к видео Pango (1983) for DOS: Kind of a full play-through, with amber monitor emulation

Game - Pango (described as a 1983 game, an interpretation of the arcade game Pengo for IBM PCs and compatible)
Video output - Emulation of CGA with an amber monochrome monitor
Day of recording - Feb 2 2024

This video shows Pango (1983) for DOS, one of the very first games I had ever gotten to try out. For this play-through, I selected level 1 (Novice). The colors are there due to amber monochrome monitor emulation.

I greatly suspect that I didn't really get to line up diamond blocks back when I was originally playing the game, at least not as often as done here. On the other hand, while it is possible to shock bees by hitting one of the field's borders, I didn't really do that in this play-through.

It is basically a clone of the arcade video game Pengo. This clone was made for IBM PCs and compatible ones as available around 1983.

The game as shown in the video eventually froze, almost surely due to an integer overflow error related to the number 32768, as found by me in another video earlier:    • Pango PC hangs at high score 3276800.
