What was Paul’s prayer for the church? Paul prayed for the Spirit of wisdom and Revelation, illumination so that we may know the hope to which God has called us, know the riches of his glorious inheritance, and know the great power for us in Christ. This is a rich prayer. Our idea of prayer is to pray in the time of crisis. When we pray for someone, we pray that God bless them and let their circumstances change. When Paul prays for some situation, he prays, “Lord through this difficult circumstances give them the grace
so that they may have wisdom, knowledge and understanding of who you are.”
