Luna Classic, the native token of the original terra luna blockchain has been going parabolic lately, and Luna has increased close to 400 percent in the last month, So in this video, we will go over what’s currently happening with Luna classic, why people are making so much money from it, and if you’re curious to know what this is or if you want to know whether its too late to buy in, and if luna classic has a chance of one day hitting 1 dollar.

You see, Terra Classic is the original terra, formed after a post collapse split in the blockchain. And when Terra first came onto the open market on July 19th, it was worth around $1.30. Where it stayed until early 2021, then towards the end of the year on December 27th, it reached an all time high of 103 dollars..

After that, many things went wrong, and between may 9th and may 12th, Luna lost nearly all of its value as it dropped by almost 100 percent from about 64 dollars to .0087 cents. UST also collapsed and with the collapse causing panic in the crypto market, so something had to be done.

Well after the collapse, Terra founder Do known proposed a hard fork. A hard fork is where a blockchain splits because of significant differences in the community. In this case, the fork created a new terra 2.0 without any associated stablecoins, and kept the Luna name. The newly named Luna classic continued on the original chain.

So then, After plummeting from its $119 highs, Luna Classic was successfully revived by the Lunatics on August 26th with the passing of a new validator team, turning lunca classic into the first and only community-owned Layer 1 platform in the crypto world

There are many things that have caused the terra luna classic token to skyrocket recently, including the drop in the Bitcoin dominance as well as to the possible return of altcoin season.
