On January 27, 2022, Miami-Dade Police pulled over a grey Porsche Panamera after observing reckless driving, including speeding and improper lane changes. In the vehicle were Elijah Johnson, Javarri Walker (aka the rapper Hotboii), Reed, and Ranard Jenning. During the stop, officers noticed Walker, seated in the rear passenger area, fidgeting and making suspicious movements.

After searching the vehicle, officers discovered 100 grams of marijuana in Walker’s bag and a Glock 23 machine gun concealed under his jacket. A further search revealed a fully loaded extended magazine on the rear passenger side floor near Jenning’s feet.

Following his arrest, Hotboii served two years in jail but was released in September 2024. However, in February 2025, Walker was arrested again for violating his probation in Orlando, sparking concerns over his legal troubles and the potential impact on his music career.
