Viv Richards is one of the most legendary cricketers in the history of the game. Born on March 7, 1952, in Antigua, Richards is celebrated for his dominance in cricket during the late 1970s and 1980s as part of the formidable West Indies team. He Known for his fearless and aggressive batting, Richards was a trendsetter in an era dominated by bowlers.
He amassed 8,540 runs in 121 Test matches at an average of 50.23, with 24 centuries.
In ODIs, he scored 6,721 runs in 187 matches, with a strike rate of 90.20—remarkable for his time.
Richards led the West Indies from 1984 to 1991, maintaining an undefeated record in Test series as captain.He did lose a single match in his captaincy.
He is the GOAT of the game.
