In this video, I’m sharing a big update: I’ve changed my channel name from Slime and Slashers to Kelsi’s Nostalgic Life: Books, Movies & Creativity.

This isn’t just about a name change—it’s about growth, creativity, and giving myself permission to let this channel be more about me and the things I genuinely love. Books will always be a huge part of this space, but moving forward you’ll also be seeing more movie content, journaling, creative projects, nostalgia, and cozy chaos right alongside it.

I also wanted to have an honest conversation about something creators don’t talk about enough: how tough YouTube and the algorithm can be on your mental health. When views fluctuate, it’s easy to start questioning your creativity, your value, and whether what you’re making even matters. If you’re a creator—or even just someone who loves watching YouTube—I hope this part of the video helps pull back the curtain a bit.

This is a hopeful video, not a sad one. It’s about choosing joy over numbers, building community, and taking people along for the ride instead of trying to fit into a box.
