Minimalist landscape photography: seeing details in shapes, tones & textures in winter landscapes

Winter has arrived in full force in Victoria, and it has come with abundant snow!

Keen to make the most of the sensational early winter conditions, I was quick to get out to one of my favourite places in Victoria’s high country, Mount Buffalo, to enjoy my first winter landscape photography shoot for the year. I wanted to focus on all the wonderful details in the landscape that can be brought out in winter – searching for different shapes, contrasts in colours and tones, and textures. Also, given the setting, I thought I’d dabble in a bit of minimalist landscape photography…was I getting a bit too excited? Come join me and see!
