The Hurricane Season of 1964 was yet another costly and deadly year – 5 major hurricanes with 4 hurricanes striking the United States ended the period of reprieval after 1961. Furthermore, 1964 is also the second season in a row to feature a deadly hurricane (Cleo) after the infamous Flora.
