Steelhead Fishing with Walleye St Joseph river 2023

Steelhead fishing the St Joseph river in Lower Michigan 2023 and catching more Large walleye than Steelhead the water was Muddy but the fish were bighting but not hard and yes it was hard to get a Fish on with Big Tim's Adventure I was using stone Flies and wigglers on the Saint Joseph river and they were not having it Big Tim style all the fish came on egg Patterns in the Late winter time weather and they really liked the Naturel color of orange egg in the 1/4 inch size and i wanted to catch them on a stone fly big Mistake use what they are biting or go home with one fish water was still cold in the high 30's and Steelhead were biting every wo hours on the hit but the large Walleye were hit on the hour and they too wanted natural egg Patterns and they did not care about the colors on the egg so much or the size been size to cook a nice walleye on the river in a iron skillet but i did not catch one next time in the winter time i will be having lots or egg flies in the box so i can put a fish in the box live and learn big Tim style it was nice weather this year and the Steelhead were on a slow bight for a month but you never know the bite can get hot some day and you need to be there so get out there and have your own Adventure
