How To Make "Natural" Fire Starters - "Tip Of The Week" (29)

Описание к видео How To Make "Natural" Fire Starters - "Tip Of The Week" (29)

How to make a reliable, long lasting, and completely waterproof firestarter out of natural materials readily found in the woods. These fire starters are a man-made version of fatwood; a resin impregnated heartwood found in the stumps and lower dead branches of some pine trees. Fatwood is among the best of all natural firestarters due to it's high resin content which equates to: ease of ignition, high heat output, long burn time, and waterproof qualities. Although a great accelerant, it can oftentimes be difficult to locate. This video demonstrates a method of making this awesome firestarter by utilizing dry wood shavings and melted down pine resin which can be found on nearly any pine tree where a wound has occurred and the resin has formed into easy to collect nodules.
