In this video I will share my thoughts on if Tudor has become a Rolex homage brand. With the new Tudor watches releases in 2022 many people started talking about Tudor copying Rolexes old models. The new Tudor model Black Bay Pro that was introduced on Watches and Wonders 2022 is looks like a direct reference to a popular Rolex Explorer II vintage model aka Steve McQueen Rolex or Rolex Explorer 1655 “Freccione”. The new GMT Rootbeer is a reference to Rolex GMT Rootbeer. The new S&G Black Bay 32/36/39/41 is a homage to Rolex Explorer I or Rolex Oyster Perpetual.
Is Tudor copying Rolex models or just getting an inspiration from the older brother this is the question.
