Le Le's journey, from a quietly anxious teenager finding his footing to a confident and skilled roaster, is a tender narrative of growth. He embarked on his path at just 15 years old and began his technical roasting journey at 17. Today, at 18, he stands as a living testament to the profound power of embracing challenges and cultivating a unique, cherished space in the world.

Le Le stands on the cusp of adulthood, not with the usual anxieties of an uncertain future, but with the quiet confidence of someone who has already found their anchor. He is, remarkably, one of Singapore's youngest coffee roasters (he might actually be the youngest in 2025 but we’ve not done any research on that), a testament to a journey less travelled — one marked by vulnerability, resilience, and the profound beauty of second chances.

His first chapter with Bettr began in August 2022, when he joined the Bettr Work Training (BWT) programme as a Sec 3 student. Now, nearly three years on, Roast is not just his workplace; it's a sanctuary where the rhythmic hum of the roaster and the scent of evolving beans offer a unique sense of peace and purpose.

As Le Le is leaving Bettr for Singapore National Service, we want to record his journey at Bettr as a farewell gift for him.
